Repair And Servicing

Book a drop-off time for your gear to be serviced with us.

Think of it like an MOT for your amp.

At Noisy Hammer, we don't just build exceptional amplifiers and cabinets;
we also pride ourselves on being skilled amp technicians!

If you're facing issues with your amplifier, whether it's a service, speaker upgrade, or fault diagnosis, our experienced team is here to assist you.
Based in our Norwich workshop, we specialize in bringing your amp back to optimal performance.

Service Description

If you need maintenance or repair work for your guitar amplifier and speaker cabinet, our team can assist you. We offer comprehensive servicing including minor repairs and major refurbishments to ensure your equipment functions at its best. Our initial diagnosis and inspection fee is £60, which allows us to provide you with a cost estimate for the work needed, much like a car MOT. Our services include a complete diagnostic check, internal electronic cleaning, speaker and reverb tank inspection, and a service on pots, jacks, and fuses.

Please Note

Equipment Scope: We specialise strictly in guitar and bass amplifiers and cabinets. We do not service hi fi equipment, keyboards, or PA systems.

Turnaround Times: Turnaround varies depending on the nature of the fault, diagnostic complexity, and component availability. Please inform staff of any specific time constraints at drop off, as quick turnarounds cannot be guaranteed.

Bench Fee & Repair Viability: The £60 inspection fee covers initial bench diagnosis and is credited toward your final repair cost. Please note that while we make every effort to fix your gear, some equipment may be non repairable due to obsolete components, severe board damage, or economic unviability.

Quotes & Parts: If replacement valves or specialised parts are needed, we will contact you with a quote prior to fitting.

Parts & Warranty: All completed repairs carry a 30 day warranty on work completed and replacement parts. Customer-supplied valves or parts are fitted at the owner's risk and carry no warranty.

Collection & Storage: Due to limited workshop space, completed equipment must be collected within 7 days of notification. Uncollected items beyond 7 days may incur a £5 per day storage fee.

What to Bring: Please bring any proprietary foot controllers or specific power leads required to duplicate the issue, though standard IEC power leads and guitars are not needed.
